No Haggling Please

I was at a traffic light the other day and this nice green taxi stopped beside me.  There's a new note on the door saying no haggling. The first thing that came to mind was that the reminder is meant for the passenger. Then I thought, passengers in KL don't bargain when the meter is in control.  And for those who know the best route, they'll tell the driver which way to go, because sometimes rogue drivers tend to go the long way to maximize mileage.

However, I have heard about tourists from certain parts of the globe demanding a lower price from the metered fare just because they think they deserve it.  Although I won't deny that some of them actually know that the driver took the longer route.
Heck, there is so many angles to this scenario that the best thing to do is always be polite and tell the driver exactly what you want.  If you think it's not right, shut the door and move on to the next available good driver.  And if you're the driver, listen to Rihana, just shut up and drive.
