Dayak Carving on Shield
I finally got this shield design traced using photoshop's pen tool. It's quite tedious considering the complicated design and blurry picture to start with. But it was worth it because now I have a clear big file and I can do anything I want with it using layers in photoshop.
I can change the color, the texture, the shades and shadow and the background with any picture or color. I can even have some 3d effect on it. That's the magic of photoshop. I'm sure I can do more with illustrator but I'm not good in illustrator at all.
The design is not mine by the way; it's done by my friend's dad, a very talented elderly from the Lakiput tribe of Sarawak, typically settled in Marudi and Baram.
